Better with Brotherhood

A local community space for men on Bowen Island to connect, create, and thrive through shared projects and lasting fellowship.

Welcome to the Bowen Island Mens' Shed

What happens at the Men's Shed?

That’s a very good question, and the simple answer is, “whatever the members decide”.

We’re not a traditional service club (like Kiwanis or Rotary or Shriners) – the mandate is not specifically to raise money for local charity. Of course, that can and does happen in almost

every Shed worldwide – it’s totally up to the membership.

Some Men’s Sheds concentrate on work projects, for themselves and the community.

Others are more focused on members’ health and well-being. Others still are morerecreational or educational in nature.

They can be a bit of all of these if desired!

Come on by!

Every first Saturday of the Month
at the Sea Can behind IPS

“Sometimes the most important thing we build isn’t on the workbench… it’s good company, better stories, and projects that somehow take three times longer than planned.”

— Stephan, Member since 2025
